Abstract

Rehabilitation of lost teeth with implants is an excellent therapy to avoid an unnecessary reduction of the adjacent teeth. However, a healing period (of an inevitable schedule) following traditional therapy after implant placement has been one of the factors that makes a patient evade implant procedure. Particularly, the temporary prosthesis method using natural teeth or alveolar ridge has had a lot of problems aesthetically and functionally. Acquisition of initial stability over a certain degree at the time of implantation can solve a patient's aesthetic desires instantly by connecting abutment post to the implant directly and installing a temporary prosthesis and the final prosthesis may be more aesthetic by preventing loss of the interdental papilla. Immediate prosthesis after implant placement can be classified into two in the functional aspect; immediate loading in the true sense of the word participated in occlusion completely and non-functional immediate prosthesis not participated in occlusion for a given period of time after prosthesis. Non-functional immediate prosthesis can achieve the desired end in anterior part of maxilla where aesthetic property and pronunciation property are important, even without immediate loading. Accordingly, I placed a implant as soon as extracting an upper central incisor and conducted non functional immediate prosthesis using the fractured natural tooth and obtained aesthetic and functionally satisfactory results and hereupon, give a report of this.
